We fielded a call from a gentleman requesting this property be cleaned up immediately, and by immediately we mean within a couple of days. This was a medium sized job with many larger items like multiple refrigerators and stoves needing to be removed from the property. Both a combination of larger appliances, brush as well as residential household trash scattered throughout the yard and piled up along side the deck.
This was a much needed property clean up. Many of the contents sitting on the property had been there for years and the township wanted it cleaned up and all the junk removed. There was a decent amount of bagged trash and recycling scattered across the property including multiple large piles that could be seen from the road.
The other part of the problem was that this job needed to be done immediately. There had been threats of snow earlier in the week and they wanted this property cleaned before the snow fell and covered everything up.

We knew from the original phone call that the Township wanted this place completely cleaned out on the outside.
Once we got off the call our estimator was dispatched the same day to go out and provide an on-site estimate. Even though this was in Fife Lake, we were still able to get an estimator out there within a couple of hours.
By the end of the day the estimator had done his job and the estimate was later presented to the Township. They quickly approved and wanted to move forward with the next steps.
Our estimators are trained very well in measuring the volume of each job to ensure each customer is properly assessed on jobs over 20 cubic yards. In fact, the only way we generally provide a firm price is through an on-site estimate. Although many customers want hard prices over the phone, we are only able to provide a ballpark figure over the phone because volume can be difficult to measure without being on-site.
Once the estimate was approved, our scheduling department immediately looked at our schedule to see how soon we could get a crew on the job. Although we were booked pretty full, we were able to get a crew out to start the job in 3 days from the estimate approval.
On this job the crew decided it would be best to work from front to back of the property and seperate all recyclables from the household garbage. We took away 15 yards of recyclable appliances and had the entire front of the property cleaned up within 1 day.
Our crew had not even left the job site for the day and our Township contact already started getting messages of relief from locals who had noticed our work. There was a LOT of junk in the front yard.
On day 2 our crews focused on the sides of the property and back yard. There was an additional 40 cubic yards of debris hauled out from the back yard. Our crews packed each truck as tight as they could, despite much of the garbage they were digging up being wet, heavy........and well you get the point.
Easily the best part of our day at Junk Titan is seeing the relief in the faces of our customers as our crews pull away with the truck full.
